It has happened several times today while in Florida. I have gotten the question. What is Synergy Production Group? Of course I could give you the sales pitch of who we are and what we do but their is deeper meaning beyond that. There is an intentional makeup of our company and it is reflected in our code of ethics that each employee will see.
At Synergy we believe in values and a code of ethics that guides us as we operate our business and maintain our relationships internally and externally. Understanding our values and our code of ethics will help you understand our brand and business philosophy. They cannot exist without each other, for each element plays a valuable role in creating Synergy Production Group as a whole.
This is from our code of ethics:
- Do the right thing, always. – This seems to be cliché, but doing the right thing always may mean backing out of a project that violates our values or morals. Doing the right thing may mean taking a lower profit margin due to our own error rather then up charging the client for that mistake. Doing the right thing means understanding that no matter what we as a company will be held above the fray for our willingness to make the hard choices and stand by both our beliefs and the people that uphold those beliefs.
- Honesty and transparency – Always remain honest and transparent with both our clients and our co-workers. Transparency is one of the cornerstones of the Synergy way. We are up front about costs to our clients as well as reasonable expectations. You are expected to be upfront with your co-workers in all situations, even those that expose your weaknesses and mistakes that may have been made.
- Personal concern – Genuine – authentic not counterfeit, honestly felt and experience. We are all people first. The business comes second and in the grand scheme of things is fleeting compared to the personal relationships you will have the opportunity to build with clients and co-workers. We value our clients and their lives, not just their money. If they are having a bad day, engage with that. It isn’t always pleasant but it is genuine and most of the time no one else will do that. Take the same approach to your co-workers. The to-do’s can wait. In today’s society, we have lost the touch of people and become more of a Facebook nation. Connect points are now defined as writing on one’s wall. Nothing will replace personal interest and stopping for five minutes to share in the lives of each other. Your life will be better and the business will fall into place. Be Genuine.
Again some of this may sound cliche but it is more than that to our team. It is truth and a reflection of what Synergy Production Group strives to be. We are a live event management company that live what we believe.
What are your code of ethics? What do you expect from business?
